Why is digestion important?

When you eat foods— like bread, meat, and vegetables—they are not in a type that the body can utilize as nourishment. Food and drink should be altered into smaller molecules of nutrients previous to they can be engrossed into the blood and carried to cells during the body. Digestion is the route by which food and drink are broken down into their least parts so the body can use them to make and nourish cells and to give energy.
