Dandruff is very common problem. Though it is not considered as a disease, dandruff is a cosmetic worry for most of the people. Some problems tend to increase dandruff such as cold weather, stress, dry indoor heating, food allergies etc.
Causes & symptoms
Dandruff is caused by an over expansion of skin cells to build up the scalp. It is not recognized what speed up this cell growth. Yet, scientists have recommended that dandruff can be an oversensitive reaction to the explosion of Pityrosporum ovale, yeast that happens physically on the scalp. Another theory that detained for some time connected dandruff to a fungus. A 2002 report said that scientists had recognized new fungi of the Malassezia that appear to exist in overabundance on the scalps of those affected with the disease.
