Cancer (General Information)

Cancer is also called as Malignancy, Neoplasm. It starts in your cells, which are the building blocks of your body. Generally your body replacing old cells that die and forms new cells. Sometimes this process goes wrong, old cells don't' die even the new cells are formed. These additional cells can form a mass called a tumor. Tumors can be malignant or benign. Benign tumors aren't cancer even as malignant ones are. Cells from malignant tumors can attack nearby tissues. It can also spread the other parts of the body. where it starts from, For example, lung cancer begins in the lung, and breast cancer begins in the breast. The cancer spread from one part to another part of the body is called metastasis. Sign and treatment based on the cancer type and how complex it is. Treatment procedure may contain surgery, chemotherapy or radiation.
